Senior Data Analyst (f/m/d)

Wien, Österreich (Remote)
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst (f/m/d) to join our data team and play a key role in turning data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the company to understand their needs, analyse complex datasets, and deliver clear, impactful reporting and recommendations.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in transforming raw data into meaningful analysis, building intuitive dashboards, and enabling self-service analytics. If you’re passionate about uncovering insights, communicating data clearly, and helping teams make confident, data-driven decisions, this role is for you.

What makes this role different

This isn’t your typical data analyst role. You won’t be confined to a single domain, dashboard, or stakeholder group. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to work across the entire data warehouse, exploring all datasets and collaborating with teams across the business.
This is a true end-to-end ownership role. You won’t be waiting for “clean data” to land on your desk—you’ll own the full cycle: identifying business problems, validating source data, building transformation layers in dbt, and delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
If you’re someone who thrives on variety, ownership, and constant learning—come join us!

What Makes You Special

  • 5+ Years’ Experience. You've worked in the data space as an Analyst, Engineer, or Scientist and have a proven track record of translating complex business needs into scalable data products that directly address stakeholder requirements and drive meaningful impact.
  • Trusted Data Partner. You work directly with business stakeholders and other data team members to gather requirements, understand data challenges, and proactively suggest ways to leverage data more effectively. You bring deep experience across multiple business domains, and have acted as a trusted point of contact for data in those areas.
  • Self-Service Enablement. You have experience optimising data for BI tools (such as Looker and Tableau), designing with the end-user experience in mind. You know how to surface data effectively, enabling analysts and business users to self-serve. Experience designing Looker Explores is a plus.
  • Forward-Thinking. You're always ahead of the curve in AI and data technology, constantly exploring and adopting innovative tools and methodologies. You actively identify opportunities to enhance our data platform, refine our tool stack, and streamline data processes.
  • SQL Expertise. You write clean, efficient, and DRY SQL code, confidently handling large-scale datasets across multiple sources. You're a subject matter expert in scalable SQL design and performance optimisation.
  • Data Modeling & Transformation. You expertly apply dimensional modeling techniques, leveraging industry standards and best practices, and ensuring models meet agreed-upon standards for accuracy, performance, and readability. Experience with dbt is a strong plus.
  • Data Warehousing. You’ve contributed to designing and scaling cloud-based warehouses or data lakes (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift), focusing on reliability, maintainability, and long-term growth. You're also proactive in improving development processes to make writing code faster, safer, and more consistent for the whole team (e.g. CI/CD, testing frameworks).
  • Data-Quality Champion. You treat data quality as essential, proactively ensuring accuracy, documentation, lineage, and monitoring so insights are trustworthy and actionable.
